Job summary

Diageo North America is seeking a Director of State Government Relations to lead government affairs strategy across the Central Region. You will work with governors' offices, regulators and trade associations to advance Diageo's policy priorities while protecting its license to operate.

This senior role requires sophisticated political judgment, cross-functional collaboration and the ability to translate public policy into commercial impact for brands across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, government, law, business, or related field.
• Extensive experience in state government affairs and public policy strategy.
• Proven ability to translate policy into business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead state government affairs strategy across a multi-state portfolio.
• Represent Diageo with governors' offices, legislatures and regulators.
• Develop policy positions and advocacy materials for senior leaders.
• Identify opportunities to shape policy and mitigate risks.
