Job summary

Akoya, a government-focused communications firm, seeks a Stakeholder Engagement Specialist to support DOE-related programs in Washington, DC. The role involves planning and executing stakeholder events and developing materials that enable effective outreach to industry partners, labs, state/local govts, academics, and associations.

Requires 7+ years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree. Onsite in Washington, DC, with a base salary range of $120,000–$140,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master’s +5 years can substitute for degree +7 years.
• Experience planning and executing stakeholder-facing events (workshops, roundtables, webinars, conferences).
• Experience developing written materials for senior leaders (talking points, briefing memos, agendas).
• Proficiency with CRM/engagement-tracking platforms and with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel).
• Ability to translate technical content into clear, audience-appropriate language and manage multiple deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Research, draft, and prepare briefing documents and talking points for client outreach events.
• Plan and execute stakeholder engagement events with government agencies, partners, nonprofits, and academia.
• Contribute to strategic planning, identify priority audiences and measurable outcomes.
• Track and report on outreach effectiveness; translate results into actionable recommendations.
• Maintain stakeholder databases and engagement records in CRM tools.
