Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the United States is seeking a purchasing professional to lead supplier selection, develop statements of work, and negotiate Master Service Agreements to support spaceflight programs. The role requires 4+ years in purchasing, a Bachelor's in Business or related field, strong negotiations, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of purchasing experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Strong contract negotiation skills with minimal oversight
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Windows programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• US citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Create supplier selection criteria and RFx to solicit bid responses
• Develop Statements of Work and payment milestone schedules
• Negotiate NDAs, Master Service Agreements, or Consulting/Professional Service Agreements
• Manage and develop strategic suppliers
• Lead improvement projects using Six Sigma and Lean tools
• Oversee Purchase Order lifecycle from requisition to payment
• Escalate discrepancies in purchasing, delivery, invoices, and supplier payments
• Escalate issues around supplier order management
• Monitor supplier performance and prepare reports
• Conduct supplier business reviews and plans to improve performance
• Support buyers with order management, backlog monitoring, and risk reporting
