*This position is eligible to be hired at the Senior Analyst or Consultant levels depending on the qualifications, skills and experience of the candidate.*

Position Summary:

Are you a strong communicator, collaborator and problem solver with technology procurement experience looking to work in a fun, challenging and fast-paced environment with influencers across the enterprise? This may be the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Negotiate technology focused contracts such as Software, SaaS, Hardware, and Professional Services to mitigate business, financial, legal, reputational and technical risk.
• Provide relationship management functions for technology vendors including establishing and maintain mutually beneficial long-term relationships with key technology vendors.
• Lead and provide oversight to cross-functional teams throughout the entire sourcing process for technology products and services.
• Manage technology categories to optimize Securian Financial spend while meeting or exceeding client needs and driving key business outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with contract law, compliance, and experience assessing and mitigating risk.
• 2-3 years’ experience with project management.
• A passion for negotiating win-win, mutually beneficial partnerships with vendors.
• Demonstrated skill in data-driven analyses that drives creative problem solving, strategy creation, and negotiation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and an ability to collaborate with people at all levels inside and outside of the organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: prioritize and maintain productivity while managing high volumes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with a focus on business, risk management or IT.
• Information technology background/experience.
• Up to 3 years' experience in technology category related contracting, procurement, sourcing or vendor management.

This position will have a hybrid working arrangement, working in-office for a minimum of 3 days a week. Securian Financial believes in hybrid work as an integral part of our culture. If you’re in a commutable distance (90 minutes) you’ll join us 3 days each week in our offices to collaborate and build relationships. Our policy allows flexibility for the reality of business and personal schedules.

Preferred Skills:

The estimated base pay range for this job is: $59,400.00 - $109,200.00 Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
