Job summary

Air Squared Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist in Thornton, CO to lead supplier onboarding, onboarding for new product launches, RFPs, negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives to achieve best total cost of ownership.

The role requires 4+ years in sourcing within an ISO-certified manufacturing environment, ERP experience (Global Shop preferred), strong negotiation and analytical skills, and proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field (preferred).
• 4+ years of sourcing experience in ISO-certified manufacturing (required for some roles; preferred).
• Experience with planning and buying (preferred).
• Experience with automotive sourcing and PPAP process (preferred).
• ERP experience (Global Shop preferred).
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members and suppliers.
• Negotiation skills to work with suppliers and achieve favorable terms (required).
• Strong PC and MS Office skills with intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge (required).

Responsibilities

• Manage all suppliers onboarding for new product launches.
• Oversee early project buying activities until transition to serial production.
• Develop and implement cost reduction strategies and projects to achieve the best possible total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Participate in qualifying new suppliers and identifying alternate sources of supply.
• Maintain spending and savings metrics.
• Lead RFPs/RFIs, reverse auctions and other sourcing events.
• Lead contract development and contract negotiations.
• Review critical/strategic purchase orders for contract compliance.
• Perform contract reviews and participate in business reviews.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, benchmarking and forecasting.
• Estimate risks and apply risk minimization techniques.
• Develop strategic and preferred suppliers, collaborating with Procurement and other stakeholders to manage supplier relationships.
• Develop and implement sourcing procedures.
• Crosstrain and provide support to other Supply Chain personnel.

Overview

Air Squared Manufacturing, Inc. is an OEM manufacturer of scroll type compressors, vacuum pumps and expanders for the medical, aerospace, fuel cell and power generation industries. Position: Strategic Sourcing Specialist. Location: Thornton, Colorado. Status: Full-time; Exempt.

Air Squared offers opportunities to work on projects including NASA MOXIE, Leading Electric and Autonomous Vehicle OEM initiatives, and DOE Clean Energy programs.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: $90,000 - $125,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
