Job summary

International Executive Service Corps in the United States is seeking an experienced procurement professional to develop and implement strategic sourcing policies, create cost estimates, and negotiate cost-effective contracts with key suppliers.

The role focuses on supplier management, category planning, and coordinating with multiple business units to align sourcing initiatives with organizational goals. Strong negotiation, ERP and analytical skills are essential.

  • Understanding of purchasing and/or accounting systems
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of Change Management and Contract Life Cycle Management
  • Possess previous diversified business experience
  • Ability to be at work and on time
  • Ability and judgment to interact and communicate appropriately with other employees, clients and management

Responsibilities

  • Participate and recommend new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive
  • Assist in the development of Category Plans for specific commodities
  • Support suppliers’ capabilities to improve the quality, delivery, and reduce the cost of assigned commodity
  • Gather, evaluate and negotiate quotes from suppliers for goods and services
  • Execute RFPs and RFQs
  • Identify, evaluate and capitalize on opportunities to reduce sourcing costs by analyzing categorical spend
  • Coordinate with all business units to ensure strategic sourcing initiatives are aligned with other business goals
  • Monitor vendor performance by tracking SLA/KPIs
  • Negotiate with suppliers to resolve problems, expedite deliveries, address quality issues, and modify purchase orders as required
  • Facilitate communication and contracts between suppliers, sourcing team, and business units (labs, security, legal, IT) while centralizing policies, procedures and maintaining contractual records

  • Implement vendor selection program to ensure that the best vendors are secured, and standards are established to assess performance of approved vendors
  • Onboard, monitor and review
  • Develop and sustain long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors
  • Contract Management
  • Maintain records, Reporting, Renewals
  • Analyze contract’s risk and ensures business goals are being met
  • Monitors Performance of the contract
  • Stay on top of industry and competitive trends, leverage customer insights, and execute at both a tactical and strategic level
  • Maintain purchase order information integrity in the ERP system (prices, quantity, accounting codes, terms, delivery date, etc.) and quotation files
  • Prepare, enter, confirm and expedite in-house requisitions and vendor purchase orders
  • Drive Continuous, provable improvements and efficiencies based on data
  • Audit regularly to ensure standard operation procedures are being followed
  • Identify industry trends and develop innovative marketing and merchandising initiatives to support growth
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of all CRL, CRL subsidiaries, legal entities and client information
  • Be able to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations that would apply to this job

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

3 years of purchasing experience in a related business field or inventory environment. Some knowledge of accounting, finance, manufacturing, or general business. Negotiating skills required.
