Job summary

Xylem, Inc. is a global leader in water technology hiring a Sourcing Manager to strengthen the supply base, optimize total cost of ownership, and enable manufacturing excellence.

You will lead end-to-end strategic sourcing, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiations, and supplier development across functions. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Procurement to build a best-in-class, risk-mitigated, value-driven supply base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems and sourcing analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commodity sourcing strategies aligned with product roadmaps.
• Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts to drive favorable outcomes.
• Identify and onboard high-performing suppliers and elevate capabilities.
• Rationalize supplier base to reduce complexity and leverage economies of scale.
• Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and qualifications for new and existing suppliers.
• Manage RFQ/RFP processes and awards based on total cost of ownership.
• Support NPIs and early engagement with Engineering and Program Management.
