Job summary

HIS COMPANY INC. seeks an Acting Procurement Manager to lead sourcing capabilities and the regional procurement team. You will strategize, negotiate with suppliers, and drive cost-effective deals while mitigating risks across commodities and products.

You will mentor Buyers, manage inventory levels, and support supply chain initiatives with a data-driven, collaborative approach. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred.
• 4+ years’ experience in Procurement/Supply Chain.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities for the procurement team.
• Ordering control and methods for the region.
• Inventory methods and surplus levels of the region.
• Mentor Buyers and Procurement Support Staff on best practices.
• Buy and manage inventory levels for their region(s).
• Support Key Initiatives of Supply Chain.
• Mitigate current and future risks associated with commodities and products.
• Ensure suppliers understand the business needs and initiatives.
