Job Summary
The Strategic Sourcing Manager oversees sourcing and procurement activities related to Indirect Services for the Store Support Center, including Finance/Tax, Accounting, Treasury, HR, Legal, and Licensing departments. Responsibilities include requirements gathering, RFP creation, proposal evaluation, contract negotiations, process oversight, and contract administration. The role involves developing sourcing strategies using data-driven insights to achieve significant savings, implementing procurement best practices, managing contract lifecycle, and building supplier relationships to support 7-Eleven's growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to understand business needs and define requirements.
- Use data analysis to develop insights, facilitate decisions, and develop sourcing strategies to mitigate risk and improve performance and costs.
- Identify suppliers, execute sourcing events like RFx, analyze results, and develop negotiation strategies.
- Negotiate contracts to optimize spend, reduce risk, and achieve favorable terms.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers for effective execution and issue resolution.
- Stay informed on market trends and technology to evaluate external impacts on procurement.
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
- Support supplier reviews, governance, and category strategy meetings.
- Assess potential suppliers for qualification, capabilities, quality, and financial stability.
- Recommend projects that drive cost reduction, risk mitigation, and quality improvement.
- Support product and service management, coordinate testing, and communicate recommendations.
- Participate in advancing corporate sustainability initiatives through sourcing.
- Manage and mentor direct reports.

Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience; 3+ years in management preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- Developing bid analysis and cost models for strategic sourcing decisions.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Leading sourcing teams, executing RFx, and conducting complex negotiations preferred.
- Successful contract negotiation experience, managing RFQ/RFP processes.
- Experience procuring indirect services like professional, contingent labor, recruiting, financial, training, or audit services preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
