Job summary

Meta is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager for Camera, Depth and Optics to own supplier relationships and end-to-end sourcing for AR smartglasses modules. You will lead RFQs, negotiate terms, and drive cost-down roadmaps with Engineering and Quality teams.

In this role, you will manage BOM and conversion costs, plan for ramp readiness, and de-risk supply challenges while coordinating with module integrators and EMS partners to meet quality and delivery targets.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field.
  • 10+ years of sourcing or related experience in camera/depth modules, optics components, consumer electronics modules, or adjacent electromechanical supply chains.
  • Experience in module integration management: supplier evaluation/selection, RFQ execution, cost modeling (BOM + conversion), contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
  • Experience cross-functional with Engineering, Quality, Ops/Manufacturing, and Program Management.
  • Material management and CTB (Clear to Build) proficiency.
  • Ability to manage lead times, allocation risk, and build readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop commodity/category sourcing strategies for Camera, Depth, and Optics modules.
  • Lead supplier selection criteria, evaluate alternatives, manage RFQs, and drive final supplier selection with Engineering, Quality, and Technical Operations.
  • Drive end-to-end module commercial ownership: BOM cost, conversion cost, labor/overhead, yield, tooling/NRE, and cost-down roadmaps.
  • Institute contingency plans to de-risk technical challenges and supply issues.
  • Partner with CMs/ODMs/EMS and module integrators to resolve shortages, quality issues, or yield excursions.

We're looking for individuals that want to be on the ground floor of breakthrough technologies and help build a high-performing sourcing team.As a Strategic Sourcing Manager (SSM), you will be responsible for developing the key strategic relationships and sourcing strategies for camera, depth, and optics modules and their critical components—including (but not limited to) camera modules, depth/ToF modules, structured light components, lenses, lens barrels, actuators (AF/OIS), optical filters, VCSEL/laser emitters, receivers, flexes/connectors, and module-level integration partners. You will lead commercial negotiations, part/module costing (BOM and conversion), and end-to-end supply chain management.This role depends on close collaboration with Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Camera/Depth Systems teams, Program Management, Quality, and Supplier development Engineers. During the product development process, you are responsible for ensuring suppliers are prepared to support delivery of modules and key parts on-time at specified quality, reliability, yield, and performance parameters, and are prepared to meet ramp quantities.
