• Experience in cost reduction, working capital improvements and supplier performance management.
• Strong leadership in both linear and matrixed environments.
• Proven project management with strong analytics and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Act as the procurement regional point of contact for strategic cells and early insights during product development.
• Bridge between strategic cells and Procurement; engage category and sourcing leads as products progress.
• Represent Procurement in IBP forums, ensuring viability and risk are included in roadmaps.
• Champion design-for-value to optimize cost, supply resilience and supplier-led innovation.

Job Description:

The Strategic Sourcing Manager, Business Partnerships will lead procurement engagement with the business demand teams in Mars Snacking North America (MSNA). This Associate will own the Procurement relationship with assigned strategic cells/product group, and act as the primary point of contact for related business partners.

What are we looking for?

Minimum:

• 5-10 years of experience with strategic sourcing, supplier/customer management, innovation management and business partnering
• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain/Logistics/Materials Management or Finance and/or the equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Total Delivered Cost Reduction and Working Capital Improvements
• Supplier Performance & Relationship Management
• Adapts and executes functional or departmental business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategy
• A passion for driving value for our business by leveraging various sourcing channels
• Strong experiences in strategic sourcing methodology, e-sourcing, state-of-the-art risk management tools and supplier management programs.
• Strong People Leadership experience in both linear and matrixed environments
• Strong project management experience with deep expertise in business financials, analytics & problem-solving
• Strong crisis management and conflict resolution skills with demonstrated ability to identify root causes of issues and determine course of action to meet short- and long-term business needs.
• Experience in managing dynamic business environments, where price stability, supply availability, and potential business outcomes are under continuous pressure and change.
• Proficient in Power BI, SAP and MRP systems

Preferred:

• Masters degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance
• CPSM, CIPs or equivalent
• Experience in commodity markets and/or materials sourcing preferred

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Acts as the Procurement regional point of contact for Strategic cell teams, providing early Procurement insights and supply-side considerations during the initial design and development phases of the product lifecycle.
• Serves as the primary bridge between strategic cells and the broader Procurement organization. Ensures project success by identifying and engaging the appropriate category and sourcing leads as new products progress towards commercialization and launch.
• Represents the Procurement function in key Integrated Business Planning (IBP) forums ensuring that Procurement viability, supply chain risk, and sourcing strategies are incorporated into the long-term product portfolio roadmap.
• Champions the application of design-for-value principles within the cell teams, influencing material and design choices to optimize for cost, supply resilience, and supplier-led innovation, thereby shaping the commercial success and feasibility of new products.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
