Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California seeks a senior supply chain professional to source, select, and qualify suppliers for power IC, driver IC and Time controller components, while negotiating terms to support product roadmaps and supply continuity.

You will analyze costs, forecast demand, lead cross‑functional negotiations, and build should‑cost models, using ERP, Tableau, and PowerPoint to present strategic recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field with 1 year of related experience
• Experience in global supply chains, tariffs, and import/export constraints
• Ability to structure multilateral deals considering cost, value, and risk
• End-to-end contract creation and negotiation covering product development, operations, and IP ownership
• Identify cost drivers and build should-cost models for BOMs and manufacturing steps
• Map supply chain risks and mitigate single points of failure
• Incorporate sustainability into supply chain planning and roadmaps
• Experience with ERP for forecasting, demand management, and PO releases
• Address supply de-commitment or shortages and drive recovery
• Proficient in presenting recommendations to leadership using Keynote/PowerPoint
• Drive cost reductions across product development to mass production and beyond
• Use Tableau to analyze spend trends and pricing

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Source, select, and qualify suppliers for components and materials used in Apple’s technology and products, such as power IC, driver IC and Time controller. Investigate alternate technologies, processes or materials to reduce cost and improve quality and reliability in Apple’s technology and products. Act as the commercial and operational interface between suppliers and development engineers to enable new features and product roadmap. Develop nuanced understanding of certain silicon landscapes (e.g. display silicon) to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces. Identify changes in buyer and supplier dynamics within custom silicon markets and leverage competitive dynamics to Apple's advantage. Interface with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for strategic partnerships and long‑term development. Understand the tradeoffs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet Apple's performance criteria and securing supply continuity to meet engineering specifications and end customer demand. Optimize global supply chain performance through cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking. Handle demand and forecast management across business lines, and work with suppliers to resolve supply shortage. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $177,445 - $246,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management or a related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• Experience and/or education must include: Experience in supply chain with in-depth understanding of global economy, tariff implications, and import/export restrictions.
• Utilizing data analytics skills and negotiation skills to structure multilateral deals with different stakeholders taking into account the complexity in tradeoffs and pricing schemes.
• Creating and negotiating contracts end-to-end from both commercial and legal perspectives that cover key terms addressing new product development, operations, supply continuity, capacity commitment, pricing, as well as IP ownership.
• Identifying the key cost drivers and cost items and build-should-cost models for build of materials, manufacturing process steps, and ability to use sensitivity analysis to reflect different supplier margin scenarios.
• Supply chain mapping and risk mitigation for future roadmaps, identifying single point of failure, diversifying and assuring supply chain robustness.
• Incorporating sustainable principles into supply chain planning and building a future supply chain roadmap that aligns with company and regulatory sustainable goals.
• Using ERP or other collaboration tool for supply forecasting, demand management, and purchase order release.
• Addressing supply de-commit or supply shortage, identifying resolutions and driving to supply recovery.
• Using Keynote or PowerPoint presentation to present recommendations and key summary to leadership and influence broader cross-functional stakeholders in decision-making.
• Driving cost reductions throughout the full product development lifecycle, from new product development to mass production and to end-of-program management.
• Using Tableau to build analytical reports on spend trend, competitive pricing, sensitive analysis and present the data in relevant formats, parameters, legends.
