Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing in Palm Bay, FL (and other locations) to lead sourcing strategies that cut costs and bolster supply chain resiliency. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, and Finance to align enterprise COO/REE risk initiatives with business goals.

The role requires deep experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management, with a track record of driving cost reductions and cross-functional execution in a decentralized

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
• Experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, procurement, or supplier management
• Experience conducting spend analysis, market research, or supplier assessments
• Experience working in a matrixed or decentralized environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key categories to reduce cost, improve service, and mitigate risk
• Analyze spend, market trends, and supplier landscapes to identify sourcing opportunities
• Lead the COO & REE initiative, partnering with functional leaders to design and implement scalable processes for identifying, assessing, and mitigating COO and rare-earth-element risks
• Strengthen enterprise supply-chain resiliency by defining sourcing strategies for high-risk areas
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Partner with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Quality, Engineering, Legal, etc.) to align sourcing strategies with business requirements and priorities
• Drive cost-reduction, value-engineering, and design for supply chain initiatives
• Identify and mitigate supply, geopolitical, quality, and financial risks within the supply base
• Support forecasting and capacity-planning tool development to enhance operational planning, supplier alignment, and risk mitigation
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence without direct authority
• Ability to manage multiple strategic projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of supply-chain risk, total cost of ownership, and supplier performance management
