Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Category Manager for PDS/Programs & Projects to lead procurement category strategies in a remote US-based role. Focus areas include safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline across construction and capital projects.

Responsibilities include developing category strategies, translating them into plans, leading sourcing activities, negotiating terms, and leveraging spend analytics to drive supplier performance and program coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of construction and project development services experience, including 3+ years in procurement category management.
• Deep expertise in construction and capital projects sourcing, pricing models, and labor/material benchmarking.
• Knowledge of supplier risk management practices.
• Ability to train, mentor, and support internal stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, able to resolve issues related to capital programs and construction projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for PDS and P&P aligned with Procurement priorities and business objectives
• Partner with Procurement and service line leadership to translate category strategies into actionable plans
• Identify opportunities to standardize approaches and improve category adoption to enhance Procurement's value
• Lead strategic sourcing activities and competitive processes for cost-effective, high-quality solutions
• Negotiate commercial terms and contractual arrangements balancing client needs and business objectives
• Manage preferred supplier relationships and utilization strategies to bolster program coverage
• Leverage spend analytics and benchmarking to identify opportunities and measure category performance
