Job summary

Alcon in Houston, TX is seeking a Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Professional Path) to optimize procurement operations, manage sourcing strategies, and lead supplier relationships to reduce costs and ensure quality.

You will run end-to-end procurement processes, conduct market research, evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to meet business goals. A Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in procurement or related field.
• Fluent English (read/write/speak).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for assigned categories with quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships for sourcing continuity.
• Lead RFPs, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align procurement with goals.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor supplier performance.
