Job summary
Dexcom in San Diego, CA is seeking a Staff Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing strategy across Mechanical Assembly and key material categories. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Legal, and external suppliers to deliver business results in a regulated medical-device environment.
You will own supplier relationships, drive cost improvements, lead negotiations, and develop contingency plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 8–12+ years in strategic sourcing in regulated manufacturing.
- Experience in mechanical assemblies, molding, metal stamping, needle manufacturing, adhesives, and resins.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage Tier 1 and sub-tier supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies for mechanical assemblies and related materials.
- Own supplier relationships and lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting.
- Lead cost improvement, capacity planning, and business continuity initiatives.
- Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Quality, and NPI teams to ensure supplier readiness.
