Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Procurement Category Manager for InfraOps Planning and Sourcing in Austin, TX. You will create sourcing strategies for services categories, collaborate with internal partners and suppliers to drive cost efficiencies, and manage supplier performance through metrics and negotiations.

The role requires analytical thinking, global perspective, and strong business judgement, with leadership principles guiding decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance or related field.
• Experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, or contract management.
• Experience with data analysis tools and systems (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python).
• U.S. Citizenship or work authorization as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a category within Security Technology, Guarding, and Repair (MRO) domains.
• Achieve cost savings through bidding and negotiations.
• Plan and execute effective negotiation strategies with vendors.
• Analyze category data and metrics to drive procurement category strategies.
• Understand trends in customers’ needs across regions to influence priorities.
• Build strong relationships with customers and ensure satisfaction.
• Lead supplier selection and develop long-term supplier strategies.
• Provide support through contracting and post-execution contract management.
