Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Sourcing Specialist, Construction to drive contract strategies with suppliers across aerospace manufacturing projects. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize costs, quality, and delivery while shaping procurement processes for complex infrastructure initiatives.

The role requires construction procurement experience, strong negotiation, and analytics, plus the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year in engineering, supply chain, purchasing, or contract management; or 4+ years experience in these areas.
• Construction or industrial project management experience preferred.
• Strong budget tracking and cost analysis capabilities.
• Experience managing large-scale industrial construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive contract management process with internal stakeholders.
• Create sourcing strategies to reduce risk and meet purchasing targets.
• Develop and maintain relationships to enable strategic sourcing models.
• Communicate, manage, and drive compliance to category strategies.
• Identify and execute cost reduction projects with stakeholders.
• Perform quantitative analyses to assess financial impact of decisions.
• Collaborate to define SLAs and KPIs for suppliers.
• Create contract documents with legal, manage contract performance.
• Maximize value and cost savings while lowering procurement risk.
• Establish preferred suppliers and optimize PO-to-pay processes.
