Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Manager, Strategic Sourcing, Facility, to lead capital procurement for facility-related projects across North America, with occasional global support. You will manage complex contracts, drive cost efficiency, and ensure project success with ~$1.5–$2B annual capital budget context.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Finance/Supply Chain and at least 8 years of capital procurement or construction management experience,

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in capital procurement, construction management and/or related field, preferably for projects exceeding $1 million.
• Experience building and managing strategic supplier relationships for capital projects.
• Ability to negotiate and manage complex contracts and bid analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic sourcing of capital services and construction for facility capital projects.
• Manage a portfolio of facility capital contracts with $200M–$300M in annual spend.
• Facilitate supplier selection by evaluating bids against project requirements.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts to secure favorable terms.
• Build strong relationships with strategic suppliers and coordinate with internal teams.
• Support requirements gathering and provide responsive procurement service.
• Contribute to category strategies and cost reduction initiatives with cross-functional partners.
