Job summary

PBS Aerospace is seeking a motivated Commodity Sourcing Specialist in Roswell, GA to lead strategic sourcing, supplier development, and ongoing management of precision machined and fabricated components for aerospace and defense applications.

You will build a capable supplier network, ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost targets, and collaborate with Engineering and Quality to drive manufacturability and cost improvements across prototype to production programs.

Qualifications

• Experience with machined, fabricated, or other custom-manufactured mechanical components.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with procurement, ERP, or MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing and commodity management strategies.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers to expand manufacturing capabilities.
• Lead RFIs, RFQs, competitive bid evaluations, supplier selection decisions, and negotiations.
• Conduct should-cost and total-cost-of-ownership analyses.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives and supplier consolidation; support make-versus-buy decisions.
• Monitor on-time delivery, quality, and cost performance; collaborate with Engineering and Quality.
