Job summary

PBS Aerospace Inc in Roswell, GA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a fast-growing defense-focused team. You will bridge design, manufacturing, and test to improve throughput on turbine engine assembly and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

You will own scopes from ideation to validation, work on tooling, fixtures, and process documentation, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations to deliver reliable, repeatable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or related Engineering discipline.
• 0-5 years of professional, hands-on experience with hardware; internships or co-ops count.
• Experience in using 3D CAD software for modelling and assemblies; Creo preferred
• Knowledge of drafting best practices – GD&T per ASME standards
• Strong interest or experience in gas turbine engine technology and turbomachinery fundamentals
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed project scopes for turbojet assembly to meet timelines and volume.
• Develop and qualify detailed assembly work instructions with continuous improvement of existing ones.
• Support tracking of production metrics such as takt time, cycle time, and yield.
• Apply process improvement tools to reduce build hours, improve quality, and remove variability.
• Collaborate with Designers, Technicians, and other engineers to improve training and reduce non-conformities.
• Own Manufacturing design scopes from ideation through execution and validation, including tooling fixtures.
