The Strategic Sourcing Global Source to Order Process Excellence Temp/Contractor role will support initiatives to strengthen Strategic Sourcing capabilities in areas such as process improvement, policies and governance, technology assessment and implementation, analytics, supplier relationship management, competitive bidding (RFx and e-auctions), and training and development activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global source-to-order (S2O) processes to enhance the value of the Strategic Sourcing organization.
- Assist in developing a supplier performance management program, including executive business reviews, action plans, success metrics, and KPI monitoring.
- Support the adoption of best practices and innovative approaches to work and process management aligned with strategic priorities.
- Develop internal networks to facilitate communication, knowledge sharing, and engagement to improve business processes.
- Assist in developing communication plans with Strategic Sourcing teams and stakeholders to ensure consistency and alignment with the Strategic Sourcing vision.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient understanding of sourcing, procurement, and AP processes, industry best practices, procurement technology, risk management, supplier relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and market intelligence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, P2P systems, e-Sourcing tools, and reporting platforms like Power BI, Tableau.
- Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and benchmarking; capable of generating reports to support activities.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement tools such as Pareto Charts and Flow Diagrams to drive process enhancements.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, capable of creating detailed project plans considering dependencies and critical paths.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, including Legal, Compliance, and Finance, and to build trust and respect.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable leading meetings and presenting to senior management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work autonomously, and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of sourcing experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, or equivalent education and experience.
