Job summary

Electrolux Midea Appliance Manufacturing (EMAM) in Anderson, South Carolina, is seeking a Purchasing Engineer – Sourcing to develop and strategically source core components and raw materials for washing machines, including motors, control boards, molds, and plastics. The role collaborates with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Planning to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and on-time delivery.

Through VAVE, TCO optimization, and supplier diversification, you will help build a resilient supply

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years in purchasing engineering or strategic sourcing.
• Experience with large appliance manufacturing or electronics preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate domestic and international suppliers for front-load washers, top-load washers, and dryers.
• Lead supplier negotiations, price comparisons, and contract development.
• Manage mold procurement for injection and stamping molds; support NPI and PPAP.
• Monitor supplier performance using QCDTS metrics and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and ESG/sustainability requirements.
