Leidos is seeking motivated supply chain students for a summer 2026 Buyer Intern position within Strategic Sourcing. Interns will learn procurement and logistics operations across Leidos and participate in hands-on tasks, including placing orders and supporting the buying team.

Primary responsibilities include learning purchasing basics in a Federal Government approved system, attending stakeholder meetings to identify sources, and developing an implementation plan for Sr. Management.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a group environment.
• Proficient in written and oral communication.

Strategic Sourcing at Leidos is responsible for Purchasing and Logistics on all tangible material and software buys for all business segments at Leidos. Strategic Sourcing is looking for highly motivated supply chain students to work as interns during the summer of 2026, where interns will learn about Leidos' buying and logistics operations. Interns will receive introductions throughout the Strategic Sourcing organization and be exposed to training and real-life examples of supply chain work at Leidos. Throughout the summer, Buyer Interns will learn about procurement and supply chain through hands on experience by placing orders and working as part of the buying team. At the end of the summer, Buyer interns will be asked to evaluate their training and experience during the program. They will make recommendations for how to improve sourcing and reduce costs in the supply chain.

Basic Qualifications

• Working towards college degree relating to supply chain, sourcing, analytics, or logistics (or a related field)

Preferred Qualification Data analysis or supply chain validation capabilities preferred.
