Job summary

Regal Rexnord Corp is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Buyer to develop and execute sourcing strategies across supplier bases, focusing on long-term procurement initiatives and supplier development. The role collaborates with Operations, Engineering, and Corporate Sourcing to build a resilient supply base.

You will lead RFQ/RFP processes, negotiate long-term supply agreements, and drive cost reduction while ensuring quality, delivery, and compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with strong analytical capabilities.
• 4+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or purchasing roles.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Proficiency with Excel and procurement systems used in supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with growth and site expansion.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to meet capacity and cost targets.
• Lead RFQ, RFP, and supplier selection, including negotiations and contracts.
• Implement dual-source and supplier risk mitigation for resilience.
• Support new product introductions and ETO projects through supplier engagement.

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

The Strategic Sourcing Buyer is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that support business growth, supply continuity, supplier diversification, and cost competitiveness. This role focuses on long-term procurement initiatives including supplier development, contract negotiations, new supplier onboarding, risk mitigation, and new product sourcing. The position partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and Corporate Sourcing to build a scalable and resilient supply base while operational buyers manage day-to-day purchasing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business growth, new site expansion, and operational requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to support capacity, cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Lead RFQ, RFP, and supplier selection activities, including commercial negotiations and contract development.
• Implement dual-source and supplier risk mitigation strategies to improve supply chain resilience.
• Support new product introductions and Engineer-to-Order projects through strategic supplier engagement.
• Negotiate long-term supply agreements and strategic partnerships.
• Drive cost reduction and value engineering initiatives through supplier collaboration and market analysis.
• Coordinate sourcing activities with Corporate Sourcing to leverage enterprise agreements and supplier strategies.
• Monitor supplier market trends, capabilities, and risks to proactively support business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or purchasing roles.
• Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships, sourcing components, materials, or services, and supporting cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and business systems used for procurement and supply chain management.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) or more years of experience leading sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, cost-reduction projects, or supplier development programs.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably supporting electrical, industrial, or engineered products.
• ERP/MRP system experience, with SAP preferred.
• Familiarity with supplier performance management, contract negotiations, RFQ/RFP processes, and total cost of ownership methodologies.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance teams.
