Job summary

The Grainger Indirect Procurement team seeks an Associate Category Manager to develop sourcing strategy for sub-categories and deliver savings through internal analysis, cost modelling, negotiations, and contract execution.

You will report to the Manager, Category Manager and collaborate with stakeholders across North America. This hybrid role can be based in Lake Forest, IL or downtown Chicago with ~15% annual travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Category Management experience.
• Indirect procurement and global sourcing experience.
• Experience with spend analysis and cost modelling.
• Negotiation of Master Agreements and Addendums.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategy for sub-categories with spend $20-100MM.
• Lead global sourcing using standard processes and RFX.
• Negotiate contracts and draft agreements with suppliers.
• Provide updates on project status to stakeholders.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and savings.
