Job summary

Hexagon Agility, Lincoln, Nebraska, seeks a Sourcing Specialist to develop and execute strategic sourcing for specific commodities in support of Operations. Lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver lowest total cost solutions.

Responsibilities include supplier evaluation, contract management, risk mitigation, and robust vendor relationships to support forecasts and budgeted goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years purchasing/strategic sourcing experience along with 3+ year’s relevant operations/supply chain experience.
• Experience with contract manufacturing vendors.
• Strong preference for some international sourcing experience.
• Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery.
• Knowledge of legal terminology and language related to supplier agreements and contracts.
• Advanced systems skills and working knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel knowledge.
• Must have excellent presentation and communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for strategic sourcing management goals for specific commodities and implement actions to achieve them.
• Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies with supplier relationships.
• Negotiate agreements to drive lowest total cost of ownership and develop win-win strategies.
• Implement supplier agreements/contracts with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Identify risks related to suppliers and supply chain and mitigate them.
• Maintain supplier relationships through trade shows, meetings, and conferences.
• Support planning and budgeting related to specific commodities.
