Job summary

HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division seeks an experienced procurement professional specializing in indirect spend. You will apply standard purchasing methodologies, collaborate with internal clients to define sourcing needs, and develop strategies to secure best value and ROI.

The role requires extensive experience (10+ years with a Bachelor's or 8+ years with a Master's) and strong Excel/SQL skills; PowerBI is preferred. Hybrid telework is available, primarily on-site in Pascagoula, MS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 10+ years of experience; Master's degree with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience with Excel and SQL databases; PowerBI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies standard purchasing/methodology to indirect spend categories to achieve ROI and best value.
• Works with internal clients to identify sourcing needs and define service levels.
• Develops sourcing strategies; solicits and analyzes proposals; negotiates contracts.
• Establishes supplier relationship management with continuous improvement goals.
• Monitors market dynamics and communicates changes affecting internal needs.
