Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to design end-to-end architectures for digital banking programs and a modern fintech ecosystem. The role emphasizes secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with enterprise standards and security requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in solution, application, or enterprise integration architecture for fintech or regulated financial services.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, design patterns, cloud platforms, and modernization.
• Hands-on understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, messaging, event-driven architecture, and middleware.
• Experience producing architecture documentation and artifacts using Visio, Lucidchart, Jira, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end solution architectures and integration strategies for banking apps, digital banking services, vendor platforms, and cloud solutions.
• Lead architecture workshops and design reviews translating business requirements into scalable, secure solutions.
• Evaluate vendor technologies, APIs, and integration capabilities, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
• Promote API-first, cloud-native, microservices patterns aligned with enterprise standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to delivery teams; review designs and resolve complex issues.
