Job summary

Verra Mobility is seeking a Senior Buyer in Phoenix, AZ, supporting procurement across technology, services, construction, and operations. The role partners with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Program Management to ensure timely delivery, competitive pricing, and strong supplier performance.

Key duties include negotiating terms, onboarding suppliers, issuing POs, and tracking performance while supporting MWBE and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, buying, or supply chain experience.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, purchase orders, and commercial negotiations.
• Experience procuring services, equipment, materials, or project-related spend.
• Experience supporting supplier onboarding or supplier qualification processes.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Procure goods and services to support operational, project, and customer requirements.
• Review requisitions, obtain supplier quotations, evaluate pricing and lead times, issue purchase orders per policy.
• Manage purchasing across technology, project services, construction, equipment, and other categories.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to support quality, delivery, cost, and service objectives.
• Coordinate supplier onboarding activities with Finance, Legal, and stakeholders.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Monitor open purchase orders and expedite deliveries as needed.
• Resolve supplier performance, delivery, quality, invoicing, and service issues.
• Support competitive sourcing activities (RFQs, RFPs, evaluations, bid analyses).
• Monitor supplier performance and identify cost-saving and risk-mitigation opportunities.
• Support supplier diversity initiatives and reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information in Oracle/ServiceNow.
