Job summary

Union County, NC seeks a Security Management Coordinator to lead a comprehensive physical security program protecting people, infrastructure, and county reputation. You will align with IT, Emergency Services, Sheriff’s Office, and Facilities to manage CCTV, access control, servers, and security systems.

This role involves policy development, system programming, budgeting, and contracts, plus supporting investigations with law enforcement and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Security, Criminal Justice or related field with 4 years of experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving history.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe.
• Experience with VEOCI software, Genetec and WinPak security systems.
• Knowledge of Physical Security Policies, Laws, Ordinances, and Professional Standards.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for access control and CCTV across county facilities.
• Maintain door access programs and interior/exterior staff access controls.
• Manage security work orders, data reporting, and project coordination.
• Provide installation and service support for access control and video systems.
• Coordinate and advise on door hardware updates and stakeholder communications.
• Offer subject-matter expertise on access control and county security.
