Job summary

Tri-Town School Union in northern Massachusetts seeks an innovative Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations to lead budgeting, accounting, purchasing, and financial reporting across three districts to maximize resources for student learning.

The successful candidate will hold a Master’s in Education or Business Administration, be certified or certifiable, and bring supervisory experience with strong tech skills. Competitive salary and benefits, with a July 1, 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Education or Business Administration.
• Certified or Certifiable under DESE requirements as Assistant Superintendent and/or School Business Administrator.
• Experience in a position of similar or comparable responsibilities.
• Supervisory experience including inclusive leadership.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Access), Google Suite, ClearGov, Infinite Visions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Capable of communicating and/or presenting information to the Superintendent of Schools, School Committee, other Boards and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting for three towns, accounting, purchasing, and financial reporting.
• Manage areas such as accounting, transportation, and food services to support learning.
• Provide sound fiscal leadership and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Support administrators and school boards in decision-making and strategy.
