Overview

Join to apply for the Strategic Sales Representative role at Houzz.

To be eligible for this position, you must be a permanent resident in one of the following states: MD, MI, NJ, OH, OK, UT, or VA.

The expected start date for this role will be November 3, 2025.

What You’ll Do
  • Sales and Area Ownership — Educate prospective customers on how Houzz’s software accelerates growth, improves efficiency, and supports long-term business success; manage the full sales cycle (prospect, qualify, discovery calls, demos, and closing); proactively generate outbound leads; apply consultative selling techniques; partner with SMB and mid-market businesses to assess fit and drive value; consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets; use market research and competitive insights to uncover opportunities; maintain and grow a personal book of business in home design and construction; streamline the sales process by independently approving discounts and structuring deals.
  • Leadership and Sales Strategy — Collaborate with Marketing & Product to execute sales strategies, enhance messaging, and improve operations; provide feedback to leadership on tools and processes; mentor fellow sales reps and participate in tests and roundtables; adapt to evolving priorities and shape policies for team success.
  • Local Market Expertise — Attend trade shows and events, travel for in-person meetings and demos, act as a local market expert, and support marketing campaigns with the Field Marketing team.
At a Minimum, We’d Like You to Have
  • 1.5 to 3 years of relevant full-cycle sales experience
  • Outbound cold-calling experience
  • Desire and commitment to be successful in sales
  • Positive mindset and accountability for successes and failures
  • Proven consultative selling and closing skills
  • Focused on goals with regular activity contributing to achievement
  • Pipeline management with outbound majority (about 80%) and inbound leads
  • Continuous learner who proactively strengthens skills
  • Focus on selling software; multi-approach to outbound methods
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
  • Direct experience with Home Remodeling/Design/Renovation clients
  • 2-3 years in a territory with targeted accounts
  • 2-3 years of self-sourced outbound leads
  • 2-3 years of majority net new closing experience (SaaS a plus)

Compensation, Benefits and Perks

This role offers an annual base salary plus variable pay based on metrics and performance. The base salary is $60,000 with on-target earnings (OTE) around $142,440 annually. Houzz offers competitive benefits and eligibility for an equity award of 3,547 RSUs vesting over four years with a one-year cliff.
