Job summary

PNX PETROLEUM SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Senior Risk Manager to oversee its risk management framework supporting physical oil and commodity trading.

You will work with trading, operations, finance and management to identify, monitor and manage market, credit, counterparty and operational risks from trading activities. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant oil/energy/commodity trading risk management experience.
• Strong understanding of physical oil and commodity trading, pricing mechanisms and commodity derivatives.
• Knowledge of commodity swaps, futures and hedging instruments.
• Understanding of market, credit, counterparty risks and trading controls.
• Hands-on experience with MTM, exposure monitoring, VaR, stress testing and risk limits.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication with traders and senior management.
• Independent, fast-paced trading environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee risk exposures from physical oil trading and derivatives.
• Review daily positions, market exposures, MTM, P&L and limits.
• Monitor hedging activities using swaps, futures and derivatives.
• Develop and maintain risk policies, controls and reporting.
• Perform VaR, stress testing and scenario analysis.
• Monitor counterparty and credit exposures and collateral terms.
• Review new transactions for risk and identify key risks.
• Collaborate with traders to understand positions and exposures.
• Provide independent risk oversight and challenge to trading desk.
• Prepare regular risk reports for management highlighting exposures.
• Support management with risk-related queries from banks/auditors.
• Continuously improve risk systems and internal controls.
