Job summary

The role requires 7+ years in purchasing, strong negotiation skills, and automotive industry experience. Travel may be required to support programs and supplier visits. You will work onsite at multiple North America sites including Northville, MI, Seymour, IN, and others.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in purchasing, commodity management, or related manufacturing roles.
• Experience with resin, polymers, chemicals, lubricants, greases, or related materials used in manufacturing.
• Automotive manufacturing experience with understanding of processes, materials, quality, and cost drivers.
• Basic knowledge of organic chemistry and material properties to manage resin and indirect chemical commodities.
• Experience managing and developing employees in a multi-site organization.
• Proven ability to develop commodity strategies and lead complex negotiations with suppliers.
• Strong analytical skills: spend, market, and cost-driver analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead NA purchasing strategy for resin and indirect chemical commodities.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term commodity strategies, including localization and cost reduction.
• Manage RFQ, sourcing, negotiations, and supplier selection.
• Oversee supply risk management and supplier continuity programs.
• Coordinate cross-functional programs with Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.
• Prepare and present commodity updates and cost-reduction results to leadership.
