Job summary

Civilization Research Institute (CRI) is seeking a Strategic Research Analyst to conduct deep, cross-disciplinary analysis across geopolitics, economics, and technology. You will source diverse materials, validate findings, and present clear, decision-ready insights for leadership and a network of partners.

The role supports rapid-turnaround requests and long-range studies, reporting to the Strategic Research Team Lead.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a research analyst or OSINT researcher.
• Proficiency in research methodologies, data collection, and analysis.
• Proficiency with verification methods including metadata analysis, geolocation, archive research, media verification, link mapping, timelines, and multi-language search.
• Strong analytical writing for non-specialist audiences.
• Experience documenting sources and methodologies.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines, including short notices.
• Discretion in handling sensitive information.
• Nice to have: geopolitics or global finance expertise; fluency in additional languages.

Responsibilities

• Go in-depth on a wide range of subjects and rapidly acquire understanding in unfamiliar fields.
• Source high-quality materials from official sources, counter-narratives, and diverse channels.
• Develop working command of domains, outline the state of play, and identify unknowns.
• Synthesize analysis on compressed timelines and surface key information for leadership and partners.
• Collect from primary/secondary sources, validate, and identify patterns and trends.
• Produce concise, clear writings and visuals tailored to principals, networks, and teams.
