Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a Contract Analyst to build accurate payment rules, model contracts, and audit underpayments in our hospital and professional billing. You will work with Epic/Strata, interpret terms with Managed Care and Revenue Cycle, and develop projects independently.

The role requires a BS in Accounting/Finance or equivalent and strong knowledge of payor contracts, with Epic Contract Management certification or willingness to obtain. Located in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance or equivalent or at least 3 years of experience in healthcare reimbursement or contract analysis.
• Strong understanding of payor contract terms, fee schedules, reimbursement methodologies.
• EPIC Contract Management certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to use Excel and communicate appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Builds accurate expected payment rules in EPIC and Strata for Hospital and Professional Billing.
• Updates contracts as needed based upon payor changes or renegotiations.
• Models new contracts for reimbursement changes.
• Audits underpayments and assists in the collection process as needed.
• Report writing out of Epic and Strata software systems.
• Works closely with Managed Care and Revenue Cycle to interpret contract terms and implement changes.
• Serves as an expert in building contracts out of EPIC.
• Identifies trends and presents findings.
