Job summary

The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates seeks a Senior Director of Regulatory Advocacy to lead our regulatory advocacy team, engaging with state and federal regulators to influence policy affecting credit unions.

Ideal candidates have five years of legislative affairs or compliance experience and strong communication skills. The role involves coordinating with federal partners and supporting both state and national advocacy initiatives.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in legislative affairs, regulatory advocacy, public policy, or compliance.
• Experience lobbying or engaging with government officials at federal/state level.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Salesforce or similar CRM.

Responsibilities

• Represent The League before state and federal agency officials.
• Monitor federal legislation, committee hearings, and regulatory proposals.
• Draft policy briefs, position statements, and testimony.
• Coordinate with trade associations and federal partners.
• Support state-level advocacy strategies and policy meetings.
• Contribute to comment letters, regulatory alerts, and grassroots calls-to-action.
• Assist with advocacy events and preparation of briefing materials.
• Educate and mobilize member credit unions on advocacy priorities.
