Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required with 7–10 years of accomplished real estate experience.
• Thorough understanding of real estate closing procedures and documentation.
• Exceptional negotiation skills and strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Effective performance management and prior supervisory success.
• Proven ability to build consensus, establish trust and drive change.
• Experience in coordinating with regulatory bodies and multiple business units.

Responsibilities

• Manages land acquisition and rights of way for company operations (20%).
• Oversees staff allocation and training aligned with strategic plans (10%).
• Provides transactional support to reports (10%).
• Maintains relationships with regulatory bodies, agencies and railroads (10%).
• Develops budgets and forecasts for transactions and projects (5%).
• Keeps current on real estate industry trends and best practices (5%).
• Leads a diverse, safe work environment and develops direct reports (5%).
• Manages external resources for acquisitions (10%).
• Acts as expert witness before state authorities when required (5%).
• Oversees contract negotiations, appraisals, environmental reports and title work (5%).
• Reports status of acquisitions to Manager of Real Estate & Facilities (10%).
• Ensures transactions are executed on time and within budget (5%).
