Job summary

Alstom in the United States is seeking a Materials Planner who will collaborate with suppliers on material planning, procurement, and production readiness.

You will manage purchase requisitions, own supplier follow-ups, maintain master data accuracy, create source lists and quota management, and monitor deliveries to anticipate risks and drive recovery actions in a dynamic rail environment. This role supports growth across global projects with SAP and ERP processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 2 years in Procurement or Supply Chain.
• Experience or understanding of demand planning processes.
• Familiarity with ERP techniques and supplier collaboration tools.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• SAP experience preferred; APICS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase requisitions for material planning documents with internal suppliers.
• Own follow up with Procurement at PR maturity to launch material planning with external suppliers.
• Ensure and update accuracy of material planning master data.
• Create material planning documents, source lists and quota management.
• Communicate planning documents to suppliers and track confirmations.
• Analyze supplier confirmations vs. Alstom needs and assess risk/impact.
• Identify priorities for risk/impact and set recovery actions.
• Organize regular supplier reviews to check delivery status and performance.
