Job summary

School Specialty LLC is seeking a Strategic Quote Specialist to prepare quotations for the complete product line. You will collaborate with customers, the sales team, suppliers, and installation partners to ensure efficient processing of quotes that meet customer expectations and provide product knowledge through thorough research.

This is a work-from-home role for US residents, offering an hourly range of $24-$27 plus an annual incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years pricing, quoting, bidding experience.
• Highly organized and attentive to details, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Generate quotes and proposals for consumables and furniture & equipment using the designated quoting system.
• Research and analyze regional demographics, market trends, and purchasing data to capitalize on opportunities.
• Respond promptly to quote requests from various channels (phone and email).
• Collaborate with customers, sales resources, vendors, and installers to align quotes with pricing strategies and contracts.
• Maintain data and project updates in Salesforce and support order management teams.

Job Summary:

The Strategic Quote Specialist is responsible for preparing quotations for the complete School Specialty product line. This role involves close collaboration with customers, the sales team, suppliers, and installation partners to ensure efficient processing of quotes that meet customer expectations. The specialist also provides product knowledge through thorough (or comprehensive) research and sourcing.

Work Location:

· This is a work-from-home role. Qualified candidates must reside in the United States.

Compensation Information:

· Hourly range of $24-$27 plus an annual incentive plan.

What you’ll do:

· Research and analyze regional demographics, market trends, and purchasing data to capitalize on opportunities.

· Generate quotes and proposals for consumables and furniture & equipment, along with material and room lists, using the designated quoting system.

· Respond promptly to all quote requests from various channels, including phone and email.

· Have a solid understanding of the product range and how the company’s offerings meet opportunity requirements.

· Build expertise in customer, vendor, and product knowledge.

· Foster strong working relationships with sales teams, suppliers, installers, and internal support teams.

· Negotiate pricing with vendors, freight carriers, and installation partners.

· Collaborate with customers and relevant sales resources to develop and process quotes that align with customer needs and the company's pricing strategies, contracts, and goals.

· Maintain regular communication with the project/order management team as needed.

· Manage data, project updates, and communication within Salesforce.

· Support job-sharing responsibilities, ensuring coverage and assisting LE Operations, Sales, and other related departments as needed.

What we expect you to bring to the table:

· Proficient PC based experience, including spreadsheet and database programs.

· Ability to perform mathematical sales operations, margin, cost, sales pricing, etc.

· Strong problem solving, and decision-making skills.

· Ability to coordinate larger strategic opportunities, including multiple product offerings, and complex situations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education and/or Certifications Required:

· Associate or bachelor’sdegree in business, or equivalent work experience.

· Minimal, less than 5%
