Job summary

Piper Aircraft Inc is seeking a Purchasing Agent to manage supplier contracts, kanban/JIT programs, and ERP-driven procurement in our Vero Beach facility. You will coordinate with Engineering, Production Control, and Receiving to ensure timely material delivery, optimize cost of ownership, and support RFP/RFQ processes.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in aviation/manufacturing with 3+ years in purchasing, strong Excel skills, and ERP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years purchasing in aviation/manufacturing.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years purchasing experience.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate supplier contracts and consolidate suppliers.
• Implement Kanban and JIT programs with Engineering.
• Maintain supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Resolve conflicts and assist other purchasing and receiving staff.
• Develop and manage RFP/RFQ processes and supplier selections.
• Maintain BI reports for suppliers and communicate with Accounts Payable.
