Job summary

SCOPE Recruiting - Supply Chain Recruiters is seeking a Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager for a regional foodservice distributor. The role is in-office and/or remote with regular travel to San Francisco.

You will own purchasing, demand planning, inventory management across frozen, refrigerated, and dairy, and lead supplier strategy to improve margins and service. This player-coach role requires hands-on execution in ERP and Excel, strong supplier relationships, and the ability to optimize

Qualifications

• Meaningful purchasing experience within foodservice distribution.
• 7+ years of purchasing, procurement, category management, or demand/supply planning.
• Broad knowledge across frozen, refrigerated, dairy, and dry goods.
• Strong Excel and ERP experience.
• Independent, hands-on stakeholder in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Own purchasing, forecasting, replenishment and inventory strategy.
• Translate historical demand and forecasts into purchasing plans.
• Evaluate forecasts, inventory positions, lead times in ERP.
• Balance service levels with margin, working capital, and risk.
• Develop supplier relationships and negotiate terms.
• Improve margins through rebates, programs and demand planning.
