Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years purchasing experience, or associate degree with 5 years purchasing experience.
• Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems (SAP preferred).
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors to resolve purchasing issues and manage returns.
• Ensure utilization of promotions and incentives to optimize pricing.
• Keep abreast of market dynamics impacting supply and demand.
• Collaborate with category management to optimize purchasing decisions and discounts.
• Ensure purchasing documents and terms are accurate and appropriate.
• Maintain supplier lists, pricing histories, and historical order data.
• Assist with supplier selection, negotiations, and performance issue reviews.
• Support pricing quotes for the sales teams.
• Place stock, non-stock, and direct shipments; update pricing as needed.
• Handle customer billing for direct shipments.
