Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a Purchasing Planner/Buyer to join the Corporate Purchasing Department in Salina, KS. The role is on-site, with typical hours Monday–Thursday 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and Friday 7:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.

The incumbent will manage purchase orders, forecast demand, and drive continuous improvement across purchasing processes. The position requires strong purchasing knowledge, Excel proficiency, and the ability to work in a team to support production requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Administer, review and manage purchase orders and delivery commitments with suppliers to support production requirements.
• Review, interpret, and communicate material demand forecasts with suppliers.
• Manage shortages, perform root-cause analysis and drive corrective actions to prevent delays.
• Drive continuous improvement to achieve purchasing metrics.
• Develop counter-measures and long-term solutions for identified problems.
• Prepare detailed Excel reports on purchasing activities.
• Evaluate and implement continuous improvement initiatives to support department goals.
• Collaborate within a team to meet company objectives.
