Job summary

Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to help maintain supply inventory levels, manage purchasing records, and work with vendors to reconcile orders. You will support policy learning, coordinate transfers, and ensure accurate invoicing during daily operations.

The role involves prioritizing multiple projects in a busy office environment, maintaining driver qualifications, and providing excellent service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of related work experience required.
• Proficiency with Oracle, Discoverer and Agvance Systems preferred.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license required.
• English reading, writing and speaking required; Spanish is a valuable skill.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders from locations and sources.
• Evaluate inventories and compare to sales history.
• Decide whether transfer should be in-house or purchased externally.
• Coordinate transfers and purchases with locations, vendors and trucking companies.
• Place orders as directed by leader.
• Determine which vendor brands should be purchased when product is available.
• Reconcile discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, receiving reports and credits.
• May drive a Helena vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Maintain reliable and regular attendance.
