Job summary

Virnig Manufacturing, Inc. seeks a Purchasing Planner to ensure materials and inventory support production schedules. You will coordinate purchasing activities, monitor supplier performance, and maintain ERP data to minimize discrepancies while supporting efficient manufacturing operations.

Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Sales, Receiving, and Accounts Payable to ensure timely flow of materials and accurate inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in production planning, purchasing, inventory control, or manufacturing preferred.
• Experience using ERP or MRP systems required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Track open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve shipping issues.
• Monitor vendor order status and communicate schedules to internal teams.
• Maintain supplier and inventory data in the ERP system.
• Review and revise purchase orders; reconcile with packing slips and invoices.
• Investigate pricing, quantity, and freight discrepancies; coordinate returns.
• Ensure inventory levels meet production and customer demand.
