Job summary

SAIC seeks a Public Affairs Exercise Planner located at Camp Smith, Hawaii, to support USPACOM exercises. You will craft public affairs guidance, draft talking points, and coordinate with CJIBs and CPXs to ensure messaging aligns with strategic objectives.

Ideal candidates have a decade of related experience or a Bachelor's degree, with travel across the USINDOPACOM AOR and experience in multinational environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of related experience.
• Experience drafting Public Affairs Guidance (PAG) and communication plans.
• Familiarity with Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and exercise planning methodologies.
• Willingness to travel across USINDOPACOM AOR; multinational/interagency experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft Public Affairs Guidance (PAG), talking points, and OPORD annex contributions while identifying PA risks.
• Support joint and combined exercises throughout USPACOM AOR.
• Provide PA advice and training to CJIBs, CPXs, and plan media engagements with messaging aligned to strategic objectives.
• Develop and implement PA communication plans and plan media events for senior leadership within exercises.
• Build relationships with media outlets, manage pitches, coordinate access, plan interviews, and guide leadership on media engagement.
