Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking a senior project manager to lead and support pursuits, proposals, and payload integration for the New Glenn program, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and customers across the project lifecycle.

The role requires 10+ years managing complex programs, strong cross-functional leadership, and familiarity with launch vehicle development; travel within the U.S. and abroad is possible, and U.S. eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with the launch vehicle or satellite development lifecycle.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to collaborate across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the planning and execution of pursuits, proposals, studies, and payload integration projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with mission objectives and timelines.
• Serve as a key technical point of contact for NASA project stakeholders, providing regular project updates and ensuring clear communication.
• Interface with customers throughout the project lifecycle, helping to define and verify technical requirements and ensuring an excellent customer experience.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and coordinate progress with internal teams and external customers.
• Track and report on project performance, technical risks, and opportunities using relevant tools and metrics.
• Identify potential technical risks and issues within the project scope and help develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure successful project execution.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring that requirements, interface control documents, and analyses are accurately recorded and communicated.
• Foster strong relationships with internal design teams and external customer technical teams, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed throughout the project.
