Job description

Scale's Generative AI business unit is currently experiencing historic growth. As a Strategic Projects Lead (SPL), you will lead initiatives that are expected to generate over $XXM+ in new revenue. This demanding role requires versatility across all operational dimensions. The ideal SPL should possess a strong entrepreneurial mindset, be detail-oriented, and be excited about impactful work that accelerates career growth.


You will:


  • Own high-impact customer pipelines, making decisions that influence data quality, operational efficiency, revenue, and margins.
  • Understand customer requirements and design data taxonomies to enhance model performance.
  • Build and maintain pipeline infrastructure for quality and efficiency.
  • Train, coach, and manage diverse, global teams.
  • Develop analytics to support data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Operations, and Go-to-Market teams to advance large language models.
  • Provide regular updates to Scale's executive team.

You should have:

  • A strong technical background, preferably in engineering or computer science, with proficiency in SQL or Python for data analytics.
  • At least 2+ years of experience leading teams, developing products or operational processes, or as a Software Engineer.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience tackling operational challenges and developing creative solutions.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, with enthusiasm for building from scratch and quick issue resolution.

Compensation includes base salary, equity, and benefits. The salary range for San Francisco, New York, and Seattle is $140,000—$175,000 USD. Additional benefits include health coverage, retirement plans, stipends, PTO, and potential additional perks.
